    Swimming Pool Decking

(A leisurely drive along a coast road, which follows the contours of the cliffs to the east of Brighton, past its sparkling marina, a glide through historic Rottingdean, and you reach the natural amphitheatre of Saltdean, hewn from the ancient chalk of the South Downs...) With its elevated vantage point, panoramic views of fields and sea come as standard, and the 'Deck of the Bay' is subjected to the best and worst that the British climate has to offer. Near Mediterranean in the summer months, with yachts, cruisers, jet-skies and hang gliders spanning the horizon, and lazy sea breezes stirring the parasols, the high UV levels are often punctuated by salty sea mists and corrosive summer rain, not to mention visits from its indigenous and thriving seagull population !!

As autumn arrives, so do the south-westerly gales, gusting up the coastline, ravaging the outcrops, and depositing their salty, sandy precipitation on every available surface. These alternate with the pall of fog which suspends itself over the Channel, with its atmospheric accompaniment of ghostly horns from the shipping lanes.

In the winter come the storms and north winds, and, in recent years, both snow and ice. Add to this mixture the chlorine, dry-acid, algicides etc. which come as an occupational hazard to swimming pool landscapes and hot tub/spa surrounds, and only the toughest materials will have a chance of surviving.

Visionaries on the North American continent have come up with the answer - a synthetic, non-slip deck in a variety of guises : pure and sophisticated white, a selection of contemporary and traditional colours, and even wood 'effect' options suitable for use around any floor..

Forget the ritual bi-annual treating/painting and replacement of rotting floor boards this product needs no ongoing maintenance - just the occasional hose down. the inert composition means it is un-reactive to chlorine, U.V. and salt. Significantly it is also 100% compliant with new fire regulations and it has an anti slip surface even when wet, the perfect flooring material around any swimming pool (external or internal).

The uses, of course, don't begin and end with swimming pool and hot tub surrounds, although these do take a severe pounding, particularly in a coastal environment. Of course any floor which is continually soaked,  particularly with a corrosive substance, is going to have to be pretty tough to survive ! First used in marinas, this product comes into its own for board-walks, piers, boat-house and beach-hut floors, balconies, terraces, caravan decks, balustrades, indoor pools...indeed any designated 'wet' areas.

From its nucleus in Brighton and Hove, we focus on the radius between Chichester to the west, London to the north, and Hastings to the east - although by all means call us, even if you are outside these boundaries ! we will help you achieve the ultimate finishing touch to your swimming pool - new or old with little or no maintenance required in the future, giving you more time to enjoy your pool.
